The aim of this article is to discuss opinion-forming publications concerning alternative methods of treating cancer. Its main focus is a book by Andreas Moritz entited Cancer is not a disease – It’s a survival mechanism, which received very positive readers’ reviews. An attempt is made to identify possible reasons for the rejection of conventional cancer therapies. The article also raises the issue of accountability for the voiced opinions.
