This article presents Ilona Wiśniewska's reportage of her journey to the northern part of Europe. Special attention is paid to those fragments of the author’s texts that show her relations with the ‘Other’. As women's travel reportage is not yet sufficiently discussed, the article focuses on describing elements typical of this genre. The article also presents the traces of female identity visible in Białe (White), Hen (Far Away) and Lud (People).
