Depending on the community, the elderly, irrespective of gender, are associated with an increase or loss of status. In the majority of communities, older people are connected with prestige. It is undeniable that, over time, the image of the old person and his or her position in the community has altered. Currently, Polish culture is characterised by dynamic change, and older people may feel excluded from the wider community. This article seeks to answer the following question: „what is the contemporary image of elderly people among young adults”?
