A consumer culture seems to dominate in contemporary world. It affects every now and again a wider circle of human living. It concerns not only entertainment, joy, but also elementary human needs. Through taking advantage of various media it infiltrates the intimate aspects of life. Consumption is not just matter of food, cosmetics and healthy way of living. It also the world of "new" communities, the new human relationships. Thanks to modern media we are given soap operas, reality shows which seem to be "taken from life". They offer a new "commonplaceness". This subject generates a lot of questions. Do consumer communities point the new trajectory of meaning and life? Does consumer culture transfer itself to a mundane life? This article is attempt of analysis of the above statements.
